CoinGecko Ads: How to Advertise, Pricing & Requirements (2026)

CoinGecko quietly became one of the most accessible big-platform ad buys in crypto when it launched self-serve in 2025. Here's exactly how it works in 2026 — real entry prices, formats, the ad-policy rules that get campaigns rejected, and where the platform still makes you email sales.

The Short Version

CoinGecko runs two advertising tracks. The self-serve track (adsmanager.coingecko.com, live since May 2025) starts officially from $100, with native Boosted Token placements from $299 on CoinGecko and from $99 on GeckoTerminal — prepaid credits, charged CPC or CPM by format. The managed track (leaderboard banners, buy buttons, sponsored content) is sold the old way: email [email protected], get the media kit, negotiate. For token projects, the self-serve track is one of the cheapest tickets onto a top-tier crypto property anywhere.

How the Self-Serve Platform Works

  1. Create an account at adsmanager.coingecko.com.
  2. Fund prepaid ad credits — card payments today; the official site lists crypto payments as "coming soon" (the managed track already accepts BTC, ETH and ERC-20 USDC/USDT).
  3. Build the campaign: pick the placement (Boosted Token / Boosted Exchange / GeckoTerminal), set a daily or lifetime USD budget.
  4. Pass review — officially up to 2 working days.

Note: credits are non-refundable (transferable to future campaigns), and managed buys are refunded only if rejected before placement — never for performance. Budget like it's spent the moment you fund it.

The Ad Policy Rules That Get Campaigns Rejected

The Performance-Route Alternative

CoinGecko's native boosts buy discovery on a data site. If what you need is measured performance — cost per verified click, geo/device/language targeting, creatives you can A/B — run the same audience through Coinserom: banners in 16 standard sizes at published rates (617 sBTC (≈$0.50) CPC / 1,234 sBTC (≈$1.00) CPM base) plus native in-feed post ads with 15-second engaged views, all bot-filtered before billing. The two combine well: CoinGecko for tracker-page presence, Coinserom for the campaign you optimize weekly — start on the advertisers page.
